Israeli President Shimon Peres was the subject of last night's film premiere of the second installment in documentary series, 'The Price of Kings'.

Around 400 guests attended the exclusive West End screening, including friends and family of the filmmakers, journalists and bloggers, and competition winners.

The evening was a great success, it was fantastic for us to see the film on the big screen, and we had loads of really positive feedback from those who watched. Below are a few of the lovely tweets we got praising 'The Price of Kings: Shimon Peres';

Welcome to The Price of Kings blog

If you’ve had a look around the rest of the website, you’ll already know that the Price of Kings is a series of films exploring ‘human nature through the eyes of presidents, prime ministers and kings, discovering what it takes, under the most extraordinary circumstances and at the highest level of responsibility, to be a leader.’  It’s a pretty weighty subject I’m sure you’ll agree, and an undertaking that hasn’t been taken up lightly.

The idea came for the series about three years ago. The Spirit Level Film team was fresh off finishing their last project, The Ministry of Truth, and needed something new to sink their teeth in to. Interviewing leading political figures in person brings you closer to them than can be conveyed in any news report or documentary – you see that these people are human, and have the same human needs and desires and feeling as you or I.

Being so close to these figures bore an idea: what is the cost, in human terms, of being a leader? Originally smaller in scope, it eventually became clear to the team that only twelve films on twelve different world leaders would be enough to examine this idea to a satisfactory level: The Price of Kings was born.

At this point I should introduce myself: I am Rory, and I’ve just started here on the Price of Kings. In fact, I’m new to working at a film production company. Working on a series of this ambition and magnitude first off is very much being thrown in at the deep end.

My job entails updating the Price of Kings website with all manner of interesting stuff, and over the coming months I will detail my observations and experiences in this blog, hopefully giving you an insight in to exactly how films like these are made. I’ll also being sharing loads of cool on-set content with you as well – the team’s been on five shoots, for three films, and the stories and experiences they’ve come back with are pretty fascinating. They’ve also come back with days’ worth of footage and thousands of wonderful photographs – a lot of which will end up right here in this blog.

If blog posts aren’t enough to sate your appetite, you can find The Price of Kings on Twitter and Facebook. You can follow Spirit Level Film too: here's the Twitter, and the Facebook. Come say hello!

I’m looking forward to these films really coming to life; I hope you are too.
